I did check out the website, and it does appear that Stephen is poised and ready to burst into a motivational speech.

The review prompted me to take a look at the preview on the Lulu page, and I found the limiting points of view very familiar. I have battled those in the past and have over come them, but I am surrounded by those who hold them dear.

Lulu link for Unspeakable Truths, Volume 1
First book of dark poetry by Ofira Sephiroth.
Unspeakable Truths, Volume 1 is a collection of poetry that takes you on an emotional journey through a reality that many us deny or choose to hide from. That reality is darkness and damnation has begun.

August Review Request

I realize that I may be too late for the August Book Review request, as you may already have all of your choices for the month, but I figured it couldn't hurt to put in for it - just in case. Hopefully if you already have all of the books you plan to review for August selected, you will keep mine in mind for a later time.

I would like for you to review my debut Young Adult novel, Misfit McCabe. The publication of this book has been a journey that started quite a number of years ago. I won't go into all of the details, but last year, I took the manuscript off the shelf, blew the dust off, and tweaked it one last time. I was absolutely thrilled with the advent of POD publishing because that meant that I would finally realize my dream to put the pages of my "child" between covers.

Synopsis:
As summer was coming to and end, accidentally burning down a shed became the least of 14 year old, Katie McCabe's problems. Having lost her mother when she was just a baby, Katie was shattered to learn that her father was seriously ill. Hustled off to live with Uncle Charley while her father was hospitalized, Katie struggles with accepting her changing life. On her first day in town, she meets Harvey Jr., and they quickly become adversaries. As the warfare between Katie and Harvey escalates, involving trips to the vice principal’s office, cheating, lies, and vandalism, she battles homesickness and fear that her life could be changing forever.

I am happy to send you either a PDF file or the book in hard copy, whichever is your choice.

For more information, visit Griffie World

Thanks for the opportunity.

Just from the review alone, this sounds like my office. Never a dull moment - enough strife and crisis to last a lifetime, and that was only what happened last week.

By the way, Shannon, I am amazed by the site you have put together and the depth of the reviews that you provide. Keep going!! This is great!

Take a look at “The Four Filters Invention of Warren Buffett and Charlie Munger. Two Friends Transformed Behavioral Finance.” Paperback. ISBN 978-0-6152-4129-6

http://www.lulu.com/content/3215722

Description: "The Four Filters Invention of Warren Buffett and Charlie Munger" examines each of the basic steps they perform in "framing and making" an investment decision. This book is a focused look into this amazing invention within "Behavioral Finance." The genius of Buffett and Munger's parsimonious four filters process was to "capture all the important stakeholders" in a "multi-variable" equation or formula. Imagine...Products, Enduring Customers, Managers, and Margin-of-Safety... all in one mixed "qual + quant" formula.

Ha. I'm so right there with you concerning ratings. I just don't understand how people rate things most of the time. When asked how I would rate anything, I usually say "Well, on a scale of one to banana, I give it a purple."

Although, when I reviewed Joe Hill's Heart-Shaped Box, I decided to do different: "On a scale of Black Rain to Paranoid, I give it a 'Crazy Train,'" mainly because the novel was so heavily influenced by Ozzy.

August Review Request: Teenage Drama/Books about School

I hope you will consider a new general fiction novel, Chappaqua, for a review by the Lulu Book Review. It can be found on lulu.com at http://www.lulu.com/content/3000737

Synopsis:
Standing on the threshold of senior year in high school, Katie Fitzpatrick has it all. Excellent grades. Great friends. Good looks. She's the go-to girl and a star athlete at one of the nation's top high schools in America's dream town. In a place where money flows, life is ideal and no one is ever troubled, Katie is a shining star streaking through the sky.

Unfortunately, age seventeen is a bad time to discover that fairy tales have dark underbellies. When a single event pierces the illusion of perfection, Katie finds herself in unfamiliar waters. Floating alone, she searches for solutions, only to find that when you're the perfect girl in the perfect town, it's hard to convince anyone that anything is wrong at all.
