How does this work?

  1. Each month I will highlight and review one or two Lulu books (possibly more), fiction or nonfiction, starting the first week in March 2008.
  2. Readers are more than welcome to post feedback or join in the discussion.
  3. The author of the book being reviewed is also welcome to join in.
  4. Be critical, but positive. Constructive negative comments are okay. Anything offensive will not be allowed.
  5. If you are a Lulu.com author and would like for your book to be considered for review, post a comment on the “Pick me!” page. Link to your book if possible, be sure to give the author and title, and a one or two sentence synopsis is encouraged. Tell us why we should pick you!
  6. Authors willing to submit a PDF will obviously be bumped to the top of the list. Remember…print time at Lulu precedes everything else.  A PDF copy could get to us quicker, however, submitting a free copy or PDF is not required. We do intend to buy copies from time to time just to support the market and to support you as an author.
  7. These rules are subject to change and more rules may be added as we go along. Leave a comment on this page if you have any questions, comments, or concerns.

One Response to “How does this work?”

  1. Thank you for your kind words about my review blog, iUniverse Book Reviews. Your site is something I have been looking for, a site that reviews only Lulu books, to whom I can send Lulu authors looking for reviews. Feel free to send a message to me at any time about anything. When I finish posting my latest review, I shall be glad to plug your site and add it to The Defacto POD Review Ring. Please review the Ring post that includes the chart so you can send me any particular details about what you will or will not accept. I shall be glad to update the chart with whatever details you want mentioned. By the way, Emily Veinglory has her feelings hurt that you did not mention her. Like she says on her Pod People blog, hers is the longest running review site on the chart! I wish you all the best. Watch out for those authors to whom you give only four stars and they wanted five!
